For the last few months the Freebirds World Burritos in Lewisville, TX has enjoyed having me in on the third Tuesday of the month (that is tomorrow night) for their family night when kids eat free.
Well since Freebirds is one of my favorite places to eat and the customers enjoy it so I’ve expanded to the Freebirds in Denton, TX as well. I’ll be going from table to table making large balloon costumes and balloon animals for kids and adults. So come on by and give me something creative. If I can’t make it the first time I’ll study it and learn how to make it the second.
I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas. I spent the day with some great friends. As has become my tradition I end Christmas by watching the annual Doctor Who Christmas Special. This year’s was a simply fantastic ode to C.S. Lewis’ “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.” The episode was entitled “The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe.” Steven Moffat is an absolute genius.
Anyway, in honor of that I thought I would share a life-size balloon T.A.R.D.I.S. (Time and Relative Dimensions in Space) I created for a party last October. Also pictured is my friend dressed as River Song. After the party was complete I delivered this to Fantasy Shop, a local game and comic store so other nerds could enjoy it.

I don’t remember who made this fantasy flower balloon Christmas tree, but I took this photo at the FLOAT Balloon Decorator Convention in Cincinnati, OH. It is exquisite and will last much longer than an ordinary balloon sculpture. Perfect for a table centerpiece.
I just want to congratulate the St. Louis Cardinals are making the miracle come back and clinching the National League wild card! I’m proud and excited.

Well every year they have Cow Appreciation Day. If you dress up as a cow you get a FREE combo!
So of course I had to do it, but being me I had to do it big!
I have a large group from my church that goes every year and usually I just make cow hats for everyone. We even have our own Ode to Chick-fil-A! you can see the song below:
Well this year I decided I wanted to go even bigger! So I created a full size cow costume out of balloons! This thing was so big I could barely walk, but it was really fun. I’ve never been asked for my photo so much in my life!

I had a great time today at Hayner Public Library’s last Summer Reading Program of the summer! It was a blast and the first time I’ve performed in a library located in a mall.
The kids and parents seem to love the show as well.
