  1. Balloonalot – World’s Largest Balloon Sculture Attempt

February 13, 2010 by Jason Vaughn

In 2007 I was pleased to be a part of a world record attempt. We couldn’t properly document the entire process so the official listing was impossible. Approximately 60 balloon twisters and decorators were assembled by the project director Steven Jones in Cincinnati, OH. The sculpture was 140,000 balloons and about the size of a Wal-Mart.

The theme was based on the legend of Camelot including wizards, kings and queens, and dragons. It is also what my summer reading program for Illinois libraries is based on for “Midsummer Knights Dream”

I primarily worked with a group on the King and Queen sculpture.

Here are some photos and a video walk through of the sculpture.
